Encased in Lavender

•  This peony tulip began its life as the palest of lavender with veins of cream.  As it matured, the colors deepened to a bright violet with tinges of dark rose.  The cream veining actually lightened to an ivory.  As is the case with a multitude of petals, it seems that each one if holding up the next as it curls into itself. 

Original colored pencil drawing on hand toned paper, mounted on an aluminum panel.  Image is sealed with a UV protective varnish.  Can be displayed without glass as an option.
