Gazing at the Sky

• Sometimes a hydrangea dries and retains its color, only more so.  This happens only with the bluest hydrangeas.  In the process of drying, the range of blues are the colors of a cloudy day.  Dark and light blue, lavender and the palest rose show up on the petals. Each time I look, I find more even though at first glance all I see is blue.

•  Original colored pencil drawing on hand toned paper, mounted on an aluminum panel.  Image is sealed with a UV protective varnish.  Can be displayed without glass as an option.  Image is  unframed.
